Our Team
Sean McMillan, President
Sean McMillan is a father of four, an advanced soccer referee, a licensed coach, a former chess master, and in his spare time works as owner broker of Heyler Realty.
A third generation Angeleno, Sean raised his family within a mile of the home his grandfather lived in 1927. Several locations around Westwood and Cheviot Hills show his name etched in the sidewalk cement. He takes great pride in cultivating community and in particular community outreach. He is a co-founder of the Santa Monica Chess Park, seeing it as a way of giving back to the game that had given so much to him. He often donates time with the Greater West Hollywood Food Coalition feeding and counseling homeless persons, as well as donating time at his church and children’s schools.
Sean is eager to contribute to the well being of his neighborhood and community at large.
Margaret Gillespie, Executive Vice President
Margaret Gillespie has lived on the Westside since 1987. She has practiced law for over 30 years, while also being active in the community.
In 2013, Margaret became active in a homeless outreach organization whose mission was to help the homeless get back on their feet through employment, affordable housing, and life skills education. There she learned what works to stabilize individuals who have become homeless so that they can get off (and stay off) the streets. She worked with program participants to achieve their goal to exit homelessness, coordinated direct services to the unhoused, presented to community groups regarding proven successes and best practices, created visual and written content for social media, and facilitated in-kind donations.
Margaret believes in compassion through action, and she looks forward to partnering with community members to achieve solutions to homelessness in our area.

In memory of our founder,
Michael Stevenson
“This is the true joy in life, being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; being a force of nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.
I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.
I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations”
- George Bernard Shaw
